LEAGUES

 

Monday evening  -  EBF - 2 woods - 21 ends  -  4rinks  -  12 players req’d.

 

Tuesday evening   -  EBF  -  3 woods  -  18 ends  -  12 players req’d.

 

Wednesday evening   -  EBA  -  3 woods  -  18 ends  -  12 males req’d.  (men only league)

 

Thursday evening  -  EBF  -  3 woods  -  18 ends  -  12 players req’d.

 

DRIVES

Usually 1^st Saturday of the month at 2.30pm (from June onwards). Normally 2 – 3 Hrs long, casual clothes can be worn   ie: no shirts or greys necessary but bowls shoes are always required.Turn up for 2.30 start – cost £3, entrants draw a position, a team and a rink to play, normally three players to a team (sometimes two according to numbers) using either 3 woods or 2 woods. Play for 6 ends, keeping score, then redraw and repeat as above. This usually happens 3 or 4 times in an afternoon. At the end you add up your score for and against. There is a prize for highest score (and second highest if numbers permit) and a consolation prize for the lowest score. The score against count only if there is a draw.

 

COMPETITIONS

We offer one Ladies, two Mens and three mixed singles and three pairs competitions with knockout rounds played throughout the season , culminating in the finals played in September. There are a further two triples matches, a pairs memorial match and a Ladies pairs which are played in  various one day tournaments earlier in the season.
